Ocean Park Hong Kong, commonly known as Ocean Park, is an animal theme park, oceanarium, and amusement park located in Wong Chuk Hang and Nam Long Shan in the Southern District of Hong Kong. Opened on 10 January 1977, it spans 91.5 hectares (226 acres), making it the largest theme park by area in Hong Kong and the second oldest still operating, following the now-defunct Lai Chi Kok Amusement Park.
The origins of Ocean Park Hong Kong trace back to the 1970s, when it was established as an educational marine-themed park to promote conservation and awareness.
